FAQs – Here are answers to frequently asked questions you may have about either the Intentional Living or Family Life Radio Web sites.
 
  1. What happened to my old “Family Life Radio” or “ParentTalk” web site?

The old sites are no longer available. We have changed to a new web site for both Family Life Radio and Intentional Living (formerly ParentTalk) in order to enhance your experience. You’ve long requested it, so we carefully built the new Web sites to provide you with the best stories, articles, updates, music and interactivity.


  1. Why did you guys change to new web sites, anyway?

We feel it is very important to provide the best experience for the listener who visits our web sites. As a result, we evaluated what we could provide for our listener, so that they had the very best experience possible. What can to be is what you now see in the new web sites.

The new web sites provide greater functionality, safety of transactions, better information and represent who the ministries of Intentional Living and Family Life Radio are.


  1. How do I get to my local station?

Now, when you come to Family Life Radio, you’ll find that there is a “National” web page. From that page you can use the main tabs along the top, or the side navigation to “find your local station”.

Simply use the map provided to find your listening area and click the listening area of your choice.   You will then be automatically directed to you local station. Some information on the home page will change so that now, instead of the national perspective, you’ll find local stations and content.

 When you return to the site, you will now be automatically directed to your local station every time, unless you decide you want to visit other station areas.
  1. How do I get back to the national site?

All you do to get back to the national site is to click on the local frequency tab and “drop down” menu and click on “find a different station”. This will return you to the “National” web page…


  1. Where is the Listen online feature?

Currently two of our stations carry “listen now” features. One is Detroit and the other is Midland. Both are in Michigan. We are aiming to provide a national broadcast stream later this year - prayerfully, so be on the lookout!


  1. How do I find my local programs? What’s playing on-air?

You can find your local programs by clicking on the tab of your local station. Then, click on Program Schedule – there you’ll find a list of programs.

You’ll always find who is currently on the air in the main “On the Air” section.

 
  1. I noticed a referrals page? What is that?

It is a place where you can find resources like counselors and other ministries we recommend. Within a month or two we’ll also add a “local connections” page that includes local services and relevant information like “Spotlight on Employment” or “local counselors”.

 
  1. What is a blog, and how do I use it?

Some of our announcers have a blog that you can visit and read about spiritual ideas, current events, what’s happening in your neck of the woods, and other kind of cool items. Simply click on the program listings, then the announcer you are interested in. If they have a blog, the link will show up in their program description.

 
  1. How are Family Life Radio and Intentional Living related to each other?

Both are ministries of Family Life Communications Incorporated, the parent company. Both are dedicated to reaching others for Christ and transforming lives for God! Dr. Randy L. Carlson is president of both ministries.

 
  1. How can I give a gift?

Simply go to the “give” tab on either Intentional Living or Family Life Radio’s Web site and a donation page will show up. Then enter the appropriate information. Your transaction is safe and secure.

 
  1. Is the donation page safe?

The donation pages are completely safe and secure, protected by SSL certificates and encryption. We make sure we have the latest security available. In addition, the donations you make are routed through a “payment gateway” which is of the safest you can find.

 
  1. How do I contact someone if I notice a problem?

We have a contact us form on both the Intentional Living and Family Life Radio Sites listed under the “Talk to Us” tabs. Fill in your question or comments and we will get back to you as soon as possible.


    13.    How do I enter an event?

For Family Life Radio events simply fill out the form under the “Community” Tab. Your event will get to the appropriate station and posted as soon as possible (granting that it is appropriate material).


   14.    Where are job listings?

Intentional Living and Family life Radio job listings are on MyFLR.org.  Simply go to MyFLR.org and click on “About Us”.  There you’ll find employment, jobs and our statement of faith.


   15.    I would like to recommend something; where do I enter it?

Please use our “Feedback” or “Talk to Us” forms.  We’ll get back to you as soon as possible.


   16.    I can’t find…

We have a customized search function that allows you to find whatever you are seeking. Just use the search in the upper right hand corner – or click on Search and a search box will appear.


    17.    Is the Intentional living store part of Family Life Radio?

The Intentional Living Store provides resources and products from Family Life Communications Incorporated, the parent company of both Family Life Radio and Intentional Living.  Proceeds from sales will go to support both Family Life Radio and Intentional Living ministries. 

     I8.  I noticed some icons around the Web sites. What do they mean?

We've provided some visual clues to some helpful resources, content and scriptures...the icons you'll notice are:


          When you see this icon it means we have provided a recommended resource that may help your situation or needs.

          Whenever you see this icon, it means we have provided either an audio or video clip from Dr. Randy Carlson to provide extra instruction or encouragement.

          Finally, when you see this icon it means we have given you a highlighted scripture to help you along in your walk with Christ!

    19.   What about all the membership stuff I see?  Does that mean I can't get certain things?  And what if I am already a member? How do I access the content?


  All member content is identified by this icon.  Whenever you see this icon it means that only qualified monthly donors have access to the content.

Donors who qualify as Monthly Partners for the Intentional Living ministry, or Family and Friends members for Family Life Radio each have complete "member access" to all additional and exclusive content we provide.  This extra content includes additional videos, extra audio streaming, articles, discount codes to use in the resources store, and even extra downloads!

In addition, members can change preferences and adjust their likes and dislikes so that we can provide a better user experience.

To access the extra content all a member has to do is "login" with their email address and password.  if a member does not have a password, or email on file with us, they can call 1-800-776-1060 and receive their exclusively assigned, temporary password and email has already been provided. 

If you are not a member, but would like to also receive a better online experience,  you can create a Web profile.  By providing  information we can customize the Web experience to fit your needs and interests.  We'll provide a Web surfing experience that will be more tailored to you...all you have to do is sign up!
