Gail McWilliams is an author, a seasoned speaker, and hosts her own national radio feature: Seeing Beyond with Gail McWilliams. Gail understands well that choosing life in the middle of crisis will impact generations yet to come.
Gail and Tony McWilliams have five miracle children the doctors said they would never have. Gail gradually lost her eyesight with each pregnancy. While carrying her second child, the doctors saw the pattern of some health complications as they bullied her to abort the second child she was carrying. She recalls the doctor saying, “Gail. You have to decide today between your baby or your eyes.”When she said, “I choose my baby,” the doctor stood up, slammed her folder shut, and said, “What a foolish decision,” then left the room. As she sat alone she remembered a verse she had memorized as a young girl. It says, “I have set before you life and death; blessing and cursing; choose life that you and your descendants might live.” She states, “In my darkest hour vision was birthed.” Her remarkable story and tenacious spirit still resounds as she proclaims, “Life is the gift.”
