Vicki Courtney
Author of Ever After: Life Lessons Learned in My Castle of Chaos
It is bestselling author and well-known speaker Vicki Courtney’s mission to share her journey of faith with others. Spanning over a dozen books and the online resource for teen girls VirtuousReality.com, Courtney’s prolific career connects a network of mothers and daughters while furthering the dialogue of God, virtue and self-worth.
Like many young girls, Courtney grew up on a steady diet of fairy tales and chick flicks that fuel the dreams of young women everywhere, leaving them with a sugarcoated version of reality. Courtney’s new book, Ever After: Life Lessons Learned in My Castle of Chaos addresses just that. She confronts the realities of marriage and motherhood, examining the difficulties as well as blessings.
“I continue to strive, mess up, ‘fess up, and rediscover God’s grace on a daily basis. I’m a work in progress,” Courtney says. “It is my prayer that my books, and the messages I present at events will point not to me, but to His goodness and mercy.”
In Ever After, Courtney offers insight on what she calls “The Fairy Tale Letdown,” giving women a behind-the-scenes glimpse of what the imagined fairytale really looks like on the average day for most wives and moms. Most of all, she reflects the hope and promise that God meets His followers in the middle wherever they are in the journey. Reaching over 150,000 women and girls a year, Courtney’s platform has been featured on CNN, Fox News and hundreds of radio and television shows across the country. She has written a number of bestselling
books and Bible studies for her Christian-based audience. Among her popular writings are the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association’s Christian Book Award winners TeenVirtue and TeenVirtue Confidential.
Courtney and her husband have three grown children, a son-in-love, a daughter-in-love and a grandchild. They currently live in Austin, Texas, where they are blessed to have all of their children living nearby.
