Carol Cook offers “Hope for parents when a teen, then an adult child, makes all the worst mistakes.“
Some background to Carol’s story:
Carol and her husband were solid – Carol held a Bible Study in her home for 10 years and brought about 50 women to Christ through that. She’s written a book and speaks on the lessons she prepared for that study. But while that work was going on, she and her husband were trying to help their daughter through horrible challenges. In a nutshell, Carol says, “The story is the healing of our daughter. For 20-plus years she was lost.” It started when the girl as a teen went to a boarding school where other girls taught her to binge and purge. She got bulimia and it led to nine other diagnoses, including agoraphobia, bi-polar, OCD. She was on 12 meds.Carol’s story doesn’t end there. IN fact, Carol describes her healing as “miraculous.” Here more of Carol’s story on Today’s program. If you miss it on the radio, you can listen anytime via the link above.
