“Freedom isn’t free.”You see the bumper sticker and know what it means. So many for so long have given so much for our freedom. And they continue to do so every day. Today–Veteran’s Day–we express our love and thanks to veterans by talking with a couple of people who know the impact up close. Welby O’Brien is the wife of a PTSD-disabled vet. She tells her intentional story of how they deal with the challenges they face. Also visiting Dr. Randy today is an Air Force Chaplain. We’d love to hear from you! Welby O’Brien is crazy about her husband, who is a 100% disabled veteran. Together they find fulfillment as they face the daily challenges of PTSD. She has a Master’s degree in counseling from Portland State University, and a teaching degree from Biola University. Welby has authored the books Formerly A Wife and Good–bye for Now, as well as contributed to Chicken Soup for the Soul (Divorce and Recovery), and Shepherding Women in Pain. And most recently LOVE OUR VETS: Restoring Hope for Families of Veterans with PTSD
