The hardest moments in life can lead to the most powerful lessons. In times of trial, when we call out to God for His grace and mercy, He is always there.
And thanks to generous friends like you, that’s what Becky discovered when she needed it most. She recently shared,
“I had called you, Dr. Carlson, a couple of years ago, out of desperation. I had just found out that my husband had an affair, and I was pretty broken. Everybody in the world, except for my mom, my dad and my pastor, were telling me that I needed to leave him, get a divorce and get on with my life.
“I called you because I knew that I still loved him, and I didn’t know what else to do. You were so encouraging, and you prayed with me. You told me to draw close to God and commit to work on it with my husband as long as he was willing to work on it, and that God would pull us through.
“It’s now two years later and I’m very secure in our marriage right now because I know that we both went through what we went through for a reason. We both see what we have to lose, and we cherish each other a lot more.”
From the pain of brokenness and betrayal to a new depth of faith in God’s presence and goodness in her life – what an incredible transformation! And it’s only through the support of friends like you that so many like Becky can be equipped to know and trust God’s goodness in the midst of heartache and pain.
So thank you for your partnership to help people like Becky to live an intentional life in Christ.
You’re a blessing!
