Dr. Randy’s Top Ten List to help you assess if you are on the right track to Finish Strong in your Faith, Family, Finances, Work, and Health—Any Area of Living.

Grade Yourself on These Ten Important Statements:
  1. I discovered and lived God’s purpose for my life. Intentional Living is living every day to bring glory to God and benefit to ourselves. When we bring glory to God we benefit.
“Man’s chief end is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.” – Westminster Catechism
  2. I left no unfinished business behind.
Exodus 39:32, 43 (NLT) And so at last the Tabernacle was finished. The Israelites had done everything just as the Lordhad commanded Moses.  43 Then Moses inspected all their work. When he found it had been done just as the Lord had commanded him, he blessed them.
Nehemiah 6:15 (NKJV) So the wall was finished on the twenty-fifth day of Elul, in fifty-two days.
John 19:30 Jesus… said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
  3. I loved people and used things.
Our culture is NOT about serving, it is about SELF. We must serve.
1 John 3:16-17 (NKJV) By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down ourlives for the brethren. 17 But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
  4. I left a godly heritage for the next generation.
Our children and grandchildren will live in a time that we will likely never see. Pray for the future generations who will see the things that we may never see.
Psalm 78:4 (NLT) We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and his mighty wonders.
  5. I provided the best I could for my family.
I’m going to work hard—when possible–to provide for my family.
1 Timothy 5:8 (NKJV) But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
  6. I honored my commitments.
Am I faithful to fulfill commitments? And if I failed to honor a commitment I did everything I could to make it right.
Proverbs 25:14 (NLT) A person who promises a gift but doesn’t give it is like clouds and wind that bring no rain.
  7. I was confident in my relationship with Christ.
if you were to die today, are you confident in your faith in Christ. Have you given your life to Him?
Romans 10:9 (NKJV) …if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
  8. I didn’t leave a mess behind for others to clean up.
Declutter. Are the details taken care of?
Luke 6:31 (NLT) Do to others as you would like them to do to you.
  9. I served others as I wanted to be served.
Philippians 2:4 (NKJV) Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
  10. I honored God in each essential area of life. It’s the Five Essentials of Intentional Living.
    #1 Faith, #2 Family, #3 Finances, #4 Work & #5 Health
Essentials #2-#4 reveal externally what’s going on internally (#1).
1 Corinthians 10:31b (NLT) …whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
